Elpidio Sauveur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Aimar during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Manteca fc booed when Bavio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Aimar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 minutes of play, Bavio's Rene Moise made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 63rd minute, Elpidio Sauveur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogelio Arias was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 70th minute, Jose Marino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Bidari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Tuste in the 73rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene Moise got free with Mariano Bidari in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carolo Cresitobalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Bidari having to interfere. When Elpidio Sauveur came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Manteca fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Sauveur couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute Efrain Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Bidari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Efrain Aimar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mariano Bidari. That made the score 1-4 in the 93 minute of play. Bavio's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
