Fabricio Abreu might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvio Nofre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabricio Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head. 22 minutes into the match, C.A Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Tadzio came free, but Silvio Nofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conrado Sengrat kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Fabricio Abreu scored 0-3 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvio Nofre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Dobromir Prokowski came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dobromir Prokowski couldn't finish the play. Fabricio Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Silvio Nofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Teobaldo Tadzio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teobaldo Tadzio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabricio Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Nofre having to interfere. Silvio Nofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After 43 played minutes C.A Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Cordario.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victorio Montxo to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, C.A Boca Juniors's Leonardo Urritz got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvio Nofre didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. C.A Boca Juniors's Silvio Nofre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save C.A Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. Silvio Nofre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabricio Abreu went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. 92 minutes into the match, C.A Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Silvio Nofre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eulalio Hurko. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Montxo in the 95th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Pascual Galsino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over River Plate could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C.A Boca Juniors throughout the match.
