A well placed Venancio Carlomagno short distance shot in the 87th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. In the 91st minute Desiderio Ekialde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Joey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Farias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Joey having to make a save. Armando Joey made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Venancio Carlomagno sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Farias in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Joey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gonzalo Guzman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Bembe in the 96th minute of play. Sportivo Desamparados's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
