Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lázaro Abella in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faustino Rivero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th minute, Enrique Ulrich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teo Efren was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Honorato Mero came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Mero couldn't finish the play. Independiente's Faustino Rivero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Abella in the 13th minute of play. Faustino Rivero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Columbo in the 20th minute of play. Lázaro Abella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Faustino Rivero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustino Rivero came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Bebé's Lázaro Abella. But to his dismay, Lázaro Abella quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pablo Maule took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Lesardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Horacio Francesco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo Bebé fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Faustino Rivero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lázaro Abella's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lázaro Abella stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Lázaro Abella came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Sportivo Bebé fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lázaro Abella couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, Independiente's goalkeeper Faustino Rivero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lázaro Abella. In the 63rd minute Luís Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Rivero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingo Demario hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The nice shot from Lázaro Abella in the 64thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Faustino Rivero had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Faustino Rivero made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Matias Irrintzi sent off a good shot on target. Mario Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Lázaro Abella blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Faustino Rivero having to make a save. After 78 minutes, Nunez Lesardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente and the Sportivo Bebé players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Lesardo to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Faustino Rivero managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Sportivo Bebé's Lázaro Abella fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 81 minutes into the match, Lázaro Abella notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Independiente's Faustino Rivero. Faustino Rivero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Apolo Columbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lázaro Abellas short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Faustino Rivero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded Sportivo Bebé left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Independiente.
