Rodrigo Aznar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Jakes in the 5th minute of play. With a little luck, Gimnasia Lp's Israel Lizer got control of the ball when Anoop Pabley tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Jonatan Jakes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Kakaroto FC's Rodrigo Aznar. Rodrigo Aznar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Artemio Nataniel hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After 24 played minutes Gimnasia Lp got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Jakes. Israel Lizer made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Nildo Maranhense sent off a good shot on target. Israel Lizer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teo Dacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 36th minute, Conrado Martxot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Artemio Nataniel's late challenge caught a Gimnasia Lp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Nataniel helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 44 minutes, Jonatan Jakes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia Lp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Jakes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kakaroto FC's Rodrigo Aznar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Patrido in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelo Patrido to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Kakaroto FC's Vicente Txilar got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Kakaroto FC booed when Gimnasia Lp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Fero didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Nildo Maranhense put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Israel Lizer. Rodrigo Aznar didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 60th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Patrido got free with Rodrigo Aznar in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute Gimnasia Lp were awarded a corner. Lucio Palben went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia Lp's Angelo Patrido got a free kick in the 69th minute. Angelo Patrido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Vicente Txilar threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gimnasia Lp's Aldo Bertran quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Patrido in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Aznar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonatan Jakes kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Nildo Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Lizer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, one of Gimnasia Lp:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gimnasia Lp. A collision led to Kakaroto FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Vicente Txilar hit a great ball. In the 98th minute, Angelo Patrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
