Raimundo Barrionuevo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teo Dacio took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raimundo Barrionuevo. Raimundo Barrionuevo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rodrigo Aznar made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Gerardo Gartzi sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the match, River Platense's Desiderio Gamus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Aznar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Desiderio Gamus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rodrigo Aznar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, River Platense's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Nataniel came free, but Raimundo Barrionuevo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Nildo Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Barrionuevo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Barrionuevo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alfredo Henrico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Kakaroto FC booed when River Platense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Napier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Gerardo Gartzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. River Platense's Gerardo Gartzi got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gerardo Gartzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teo Dacio made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Kakaroto FC's Nildo Maranhense made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raimundo Barrionuevo was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Desiderio Gamus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Barrionuevo made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Nildo Maranhense sent off a good shot on target. Raimundo Barrionuevo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teo Dacio in the 67th minute of the match. Raimundo Barrionuevo came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Kakaroto FC's Nildo Maranhense. But to his dismay, Nildo Maranhense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. A collision led to River Platense getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Desiderio Gamus hit a great ball. After 75th play minutes Teo Dacio shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Raimundo Barrionuevo and just under the crossbar into goal. Cosme Haritzeder kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Kakaroto FC's Teo Dacio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raimundo Barrionuevo. That made the score 0-6 after 84 minutes of play. After 90 minutes of play, Kakaroto FC's Nildo Maranhense made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raimundo Barrionuevo was left in no man's land by his defense there! River Platense's Raimundo Barrionuevo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save River Platense from getting a goal against them. The Kakaroto FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
