After a rather tough play, Rivadavia's Edelmiro Mingo got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 16 played minutes Rivadavia got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Egoi. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Delmar Unax managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chaco AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmar Unax was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Elia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jesus Sayvion took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emanuel Elia. Rivadavia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joel Orzaize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisito Gaztea in the 26th minute of play. Edelmiro Mingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Orzaize having to interfere. Eriberto Egoi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joel Orzaize. Chaco AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 40 played minutes Rivadavia got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Egoi. Joel Orzaize was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Edelmiro Mingo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edelmiro Mingo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delmar Unax made a kick off. Emanuel Elia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmar Unax, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Emanuel Elia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Dubardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Chaco AFC booed when Rivadavia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sasho Lozanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chaco AFC's Joel Orzaize played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Mingo in the 57th minute of play. Emanuel Elia came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Chaco AFC's Delmar Unax. But to his dismay, Delmar Unax quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 65 minutes into the game, Luisito Gaztea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Joel Orzaize was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 68th match minute, Chaco AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Sayvion to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute of the match Eriberto Egoi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel Orzaize showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisito Gaztea in the 75th minute of play forced Chaco AFC's goalkeeper Joel Orzaize to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Edelmiro Mingo put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Joel Orzaize. After a defensive mix-up in Rivadavia's zone, Ladislao Dubardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Elia came out of the goal and Ladislao Dubardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Jesus Sayvion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prudencio Paublo charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Prudencio Paublo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Chaco AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rivadavia:s goal. If Luisito Gaztea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 96 minutes, Luisito Gaztea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivadavia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisito Gaztea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ladislao Dubardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Elia having to interfere. There was no doubt that Rivadavia were the better team. Rivadavia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
