After 18 played minutes, Rivadavia's Eriberto Egoi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Godfredo Beltza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rivadavia reached it. Emanuel Elia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor de Souza in the 19th minute of play. Emanuel Elia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Godoy in the 21st minute of the match. When Horacio Bizen fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rivadavia's protests and gave Horacio Bizen a yellow card for diving instead. Şenel Boysan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute Igor de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Elia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Igor de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ganfall United's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Elia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ganfall United's Edelmiro Godoy got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Luisito Gaztea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Beltza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godfredo Beltza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sasho Lozanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.
