When Fulgencio Curcio fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grütly AFC's protests and gave Fulgencio Curcio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Fulgencio Curcio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Oriol in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Karlo saved Super Filósofos de Kiev from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, Super Filósofos de Kiev's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Xacintu came free, but Zeledon Karlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Super Filósofos de Kiev's Zeledon Karlo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Oriol in the 33rd minute of play. Hugo Xacintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Whitehead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Zeledon Karlo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Super Filósofos de Kiev's Ricardo Illan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erubiel Bernad. Erubiel Bernad yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilfredo Oriol to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Virgilio Ixidor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erubiel Bernad. Grütly AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgilio Ixidor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 60 played minutes Grütly AFC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Prejun. Ricardo Illan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Erubiel Bernad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaudencio Abalos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zeledon Karlo. Super Filósofos de Kiev's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Grütly AFC's Wilfredo Oriol in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Super Filósofos de Kiev's goalie prevented a goal. If Angelo Prejun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. Wilfredo Oriol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Zeledon Karlo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Erubiel Bernad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Ixidor in the 79th minute of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Wilfredo Oriol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Super Filósofos de Kiev's Zeledon Karlo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th minute Virgilio Ixidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Bernad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Grütly AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Illan came free, but Erubiel Bernad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfredo Oriol's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Zeledon Karlo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Samuel Cibran hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Grütly AFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Super Filósofos de Kiev had won, even though Grütly AFC had held more of the ball.
