The Yacanto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcial Hurko should have stopped the shot. If Kevin Ross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Kevin Ross put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Marcial Hurko. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacarias Platon in the 22nd minute of play forced La Banda Roja's goalkeeper Elias Laurendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Ross couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Benito Firme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcial Hurko was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

In the 52nd match minute, La Banda Roja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo de Barros to maneuver through the defense. Benito Firme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Marcial Hurko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kevin Ross in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcial Hurko saved Yacanto from getting behind. Yacanto's Ricardo Marko got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Ricardo Marko off the ground. A collision led to Yacanto getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Generoso Kepa hit a great ball. When La Banda Roja's Kevin Ross in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yacanto's goalie prevented a goal. In the 86th minute, Feliberto Eguerdi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Yacanto's zone, Dênis Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Hurko came out of the goal and Dênis Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded La Banda Roja left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Yacanto.
