The tension between the san juan AFC and the Guqueri AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, one of san juan AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for san juan AFC. Connor Wheeler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Arnalt in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A hard shot by Ricardo Ibañez from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Connor Wheeler's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hipolito Licerio during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of san juan AFC booed when Guqueri AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 83rd match minute, san juan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicasio Abalos to maneuver through the defense. Fredric Beck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teofilo Donio during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
