Julián Zapata who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Lisandro Madaleno when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Julián Zapata hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, C.A.Virreyes's Isaias Raebert got a free kick in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ezequiel Ezkerra in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mao Ang Zhou saved C.A.Virreyes from getting behind. Bernardino Costante hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22ndth minute of the game Ezequiel Ezkerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A.Virreyes's Mao Ang Zhou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julián Zapata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Lisandro Madaleno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Eriberto Llope notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of C.A.Virreyes's Mao Ang Zhou. Mao Ang Zhou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute, Julián Zapata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rivadavia's Ezequiel Ezkerra got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernardino Costante made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Rivadavia's Filiberto Ubelteso. After the first half Rivadavia were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezequiel Ezkerra to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, C.A.Virreyes's Julián Zapata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lisandro Madaleno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the C.A.Virreyes defense, Ezequiel Ezkerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mao Ang Zhou. The C.A.Virreyes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mao Ang Zhou should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Rivadavia booed when C.A.Virreyes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julián Zapata didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Eriberto Llope hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to C.A.Virreyes getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Bernardino Costante hit a great ball. When Ezequiel Ezkerra came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Rivadavia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Ezkerra couldn't finish the play. Fausto Cordarryl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Mao Ang Zhou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to C.A.Virreyes getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Alexis Rolin hit a great ball. Mao Ang Zhou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Ezkerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Eriberto Llope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Ezkerra in the 80th minute of play forced C.A.Virreyes's goalkeeper Mao Ang Zhou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mao Ang Zhou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Llope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Llope in the 88th minute of play forced C.A.Virreyes's goalkeeper Mao Ang Zhou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mao Ang Zhou came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Rivadavia's Ezequiel Ezkerra. But to his dismay, Ezequiel Ezkerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Rivadavia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
