An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeo Balasi in the 25th minute of play forced BANFILEÑOS F.C's goalkeeper Raul Claude to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BANFILEÑOS F.C's Raul Claude played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Mingo in the 26th minute of play. Oscar Matthew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixto Jaen in the 32nd minute of the match. Sixto Jaen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerardo Heli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Matthew having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jesus Mingo was the one to do the kick off. Oscar Matthew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Vito in the 54th minute of play. Oscar Matthew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Jaen, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Sixto Jaen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BANFILEÑOS F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixto Jaen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baldomiro Vito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomiro Lesardo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oscar Matthew. Espín AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Sixto Jaen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. Sixto Jaen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Matthew read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Sixto Jaen struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Oscar Matthew didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BANFILEÑOS F.C. Sixto Jaen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Oscar Matthew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Espín AFC's zone, Sixto Jaen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Matthew came out of the goal and Sixto Jaen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomero Aimar's late challenge caught a BANFILEÑOS F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldomero Aimar helped the player get up and apologised. Baldomero Aimar kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
