In the 40thth minute of the game Modesto Polentzi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lavalle AFC's Hugo Banegas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Modesto Polentzi scored 2-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo Banegas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th minute, Valentin Caetano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Banegas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The Lavalle AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Katrinita fc were winning 2-3.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Rafael Jaen put in a rough tackle. In the 56th minute, one of Katrinita fc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Katrinita fc. Placido Egoitz went to the wrong direction when Daniel Cordearo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The audience was convinced that Modesto Polentzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Banegas was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. When Valentin Caetano fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Katrinita fc's protests and gave Valentin Caetano a yellow card for diving instead. Lavalle AFC's players were relieved. Katrinita fc played a much better game than Lavalle AFC and deserved their victory. The Lavalle AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
