After 16 played minutes, Baibiene FC's Baldomero Sayveon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Norberto Lorien came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Baibiene FC reached it. Hilario Ourente hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Joonas Veedla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 28 minutes, Elvio Serafo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rangers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvio Serafo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rangers booed when Baibiene FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverio Illart didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leo Rencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Rangers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Baibiene FC:s goal. Norberto Lorien came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Baibiene FC's Leo Rencio. But to his dismay, Leo Rencio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Leo Rencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Lorien having to interfere. The Rangers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Baibiene FC were winning 1-2.

Rangers's Joonas Veedla got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th match minute, Baibiene FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Dominix to maneuver through the defense. Norberto Lorien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
