Deportivo Gaona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Ortle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiburcio Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Osoitz in the 63rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Angelo Victoro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Federico Su. That made the score 1-2 in the 67 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Buenos Aires FC's Ewald Flachsbarth slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Federico Su. That made the score 1-3 after 71 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Osoitz in the 77th minute of play forced Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Alonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Benedicto Servando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Deportivo Gaona 's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buenos Aires FC the free kick. In the 79th minute, Benedicto Servando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Genaro Osoitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiburcio Alonso was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
