The referee ignored Desamparados SJ's protests and gave Octavio Gartzen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Desamparados SJ getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Octavio Gartzen hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Piamonte FC's Gaston Bertran tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carolo Goren during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Desamparados SJ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Urbano Policarpio scored to the left of an out of position Ladislao Tano, making the score, 1-0. Ain Nisu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Castillejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Urbano Policarpio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Tano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Desamparados SJ's goalkeeper Ladislao Tano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Parodi. In the 21st minute, Piamonte FC's Ariel Napier ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ladislao Tano. Ladislao Tano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Piamonte FC's Ain Nisu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Castillejo in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Piamonte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Policarpio to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Piamonte FC's zone, Aníbal Castillejo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ain Nisu came out of the goal and Aníbal Castillejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelo Raymundo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Aníbal Castillejo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 played minutes Desamparados SJ got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Gartzen. If Urbano Policarpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aníbal Castillejo might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ain Nisu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aníbal Castillejo ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricardo Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Desamparados SJ's Maximino Mouricio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Piamonte FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gaston Bertran hit a great ball. Ain Nisu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Aníbal Castillejo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ain Nisu, 4-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Piamonte FC fully deserved thier win.
