After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Angelo Gaskon managed to get in a good position for a shot. river's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Gaskon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Mingo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Jaqüé FC's Timoteo Urdin got a free kick in the 21st minute. Norberto Muno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Mingo having to interfere. After 24 played minutes river got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Gaskon. Norberto Muno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stew Gamble made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidro Oier in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Jaqüé FC's Benedicto Birjaio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stew Gamble narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, river's goalkeeper Stew Gamble had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidro Oier. When Timoteo Urdin fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaqüé FC's protests and gave Timoteo Urdin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Timoteo Urdin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedicto Birjaio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stew Gamble made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Birjaio in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidro Oier in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stew Gamble prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Birjaio in the 96th minute of play forced river's goalkeeper Stew Gamble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
