Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eustaquio Cordarrell started the match with the kick off. Maximo Abeijons short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Cayetano Nerio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 7 minutes, Lucas Aguirre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leon FC and the Rumipal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rumipal FC booed when Leon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Aguirre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulises Hitz kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Eustaquio Cordarrell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustaquio Cordarrell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Federico Panfilo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Federico Panfilo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Cordarrell in the 12th minute of the match. Rumipal FC's Federico Panfilo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Cordarrell in the 14th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Fabian Libertad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Libertad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Federico Panfilo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eustaquio Cordarrell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Federico Panfilo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Federico Rubio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rumipal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Rubio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cayetano Nerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Rumipal FC booed when Leon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Clemencin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Feliz hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Federico Panfilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Cordarrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th match minute, Rumipal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Feliz to maneuver through the defense. Otávio Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rumipal FC's zone, Eustaquio Cordarrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Panfilo came out of the goal and Eustaquio Cordarrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st match minute, Leon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Aguirre to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Cordarrell in the 43rd minute of play forced Rumipal FC's goalkeeper Federico Panfilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Eustaquio Cordarrell sped through Rumipal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Federico Panfilo. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Libertad in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Federico Panfilo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Federico Rubio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Fabian Libertad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Federico Panfilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Cordarrell in the 68th minute of play forced Rumipal FC's goalkeeper Federico Panfilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Rumipal FC defense, Eustaquio Cordarrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Federico Panfilo. The Rumipal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Federico Panfilo should have stopped the shot. Federico Panfilo was a little too slow when Eustaquio Cordarrell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-3. Rumipal FC's Federico Panfilo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Rumipal FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Leon FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Lucas Aguirre hit a great ball. In the 85th match minute, Leon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Tristan to maneuver through the defense. Alfonso Urdin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rumipal FC! The Leon FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Leon FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
