Choriza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaudencio Lordi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guido Domenec came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Choriza's Gaudencio Lordi. But to his dismay, Gaudencio Lordi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 48 minutes into the match, Choriza's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Romo came free, but Urdaspal Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Choriza were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remigio Romo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Choriza's goalkeeper Urdaspal Machado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Gaudencio Lordi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guido Domenec was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaudencio Lordi got free with Guido Domenec in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of La Masia booed when Choriza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Calvet didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Gaudencio Lordi lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Guido Domenec. Gaudencio Lordi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Domenec having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Guido Domenec successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Guido Domenec was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Victor Gimenez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Victor Gimenez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-8.
