Amador Mel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Serapio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Gombal having to interfere. Leandro Dominguez kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Ciénega's Norberto Gomesano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amador Mel. Amador Mel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Ciénega's Norberto Gomesano got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luisito Gombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Serapio, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Bumipunco's goalkeeper Amador Mel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Gomesano. Godofredo Cordarell took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisito Gombal. Luisito Gombal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Ciénega's Gilberto Etxekopar got a free kick in the 34th minute. Amador Mel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 卓沙广, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Amador Mel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Gomesano in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Serapio in the 41st minute of play forced Ciénega's goalkeeper Luisito Gombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norberto Gomesano was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Arturo Rolado notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Ciénega's Luisito Gombal. Luisito Gombal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abelardo Serapio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Luisito Gombal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luisito Gombal was a little too slow when Abelardo Serapio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 2-5. Bumipunco's Amador Mel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Gomesano in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Gomesano in the 74th minute of play forced Bumipunco's goalkeeper Amador Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Arturo Rolado fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bumipunco's protests and gave Arturo Rolado a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 played minutes Bumipunco got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Rolado. With a little luck, Ciénega's Luisito Gombal got control of the ball when Godofredo Cordarell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amador Mel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Gomesano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisito Gombal didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 87th minute, which inside left pole to 3-6. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 4-6 when Norberto Gomesano sped through Bumipunco's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amador Mel. After a rather tough play, Ciénega's Leandro Dominguez got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Bumipunco supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bumipunco would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
