Horacio Cordarrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Medero in the 14th minute of play. Tobias Soter came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Merlo's Fernando Todor. But to his dismay, Fernando Todor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 20 played minutes Deportivo Merlo got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Benet. A collision led to Deportivo Merlo getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eusebio Benet hit a great ball. In the 27th match minute, Maria del Carmen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Marko to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Cordarrell came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Maria del Carmen's Ambrosio Paul. But to his dismay, Ambrosio Paul quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Maria del Carmen's Eusebio Medero got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Desiderio Valery was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maria del Carmen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Merlo the free kick. Desiderio Valery hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Horacio Cordarrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Medero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusebio Medero made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Desiderio Valery took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Horacio Cordarrell to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Medero in the 54th minute of play forced Deportivo Merlo's goalkeeper Horacio Cordarrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Fernando Todor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Soter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Soter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Todor, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ambrosio Paul kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Horacio Cordarrell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Desiderio Valery's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Horacio Cordarrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Medero, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute Eusebio Medero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Cordarrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Merlo's zone, Ambrosio Paul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Cordarrell came out of the goal and Ambrosio Paul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
