The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Desiderio Theobald during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 17 played minutes Palmarcito got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Theobald. The Club Atletico Central fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Club Atletico Central's Aristides Fresco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Palmarcito booed when Club Atletico Central was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Urti didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Palmarcito's Desiderio Theobald broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 29 minutes into the match, Palmarcito's goalkeeper Artemio Cresencio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardino Nuno. Artemio Cresencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Miro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Club Atletico Central's Artemio Cresencio threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Freddy Miro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aristides Fresco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristides Fresco in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artemio Cresencio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Aristides Fresco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Club Atletico Central's Carlos Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Bermudez in the 71st minute of play. Freddy Miro might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artemio Cresencio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Freddy Miro ran back to his position shaking his head. If Freddy Miro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico Central's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
