After having played for 4 minutes, Celedonio Sarracino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parque Patricios FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Sarracino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Aballe's late challenge caught a Parque Patricios FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pichincha FC's Denis Paez shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 7th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Prudencio Seber but with some difficulty. In the 12th minute Celedonio Sarracino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Meder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prudencio Seber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Balendin in the 16th minute of play. Bernabe Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Sarracino in the 21st minute of play. Bernabe Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Evangelista in the 22nd minute of play. Bernabe Meder came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Parque Patricios FC's Celedonio Sarracino. But to his dismay, Celedonio Sarracino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Sarracino in the 30th minute of play forced Pichincha FC's goalkeeper Bernabe Meder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernabe Meder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Evangelista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prudencio Seber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Handi, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Prudencio Seber was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Adan Balendin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adan Balendin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After 42 played minutes Pichincha FC got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Paskal. Vladimiro Rudolfo did an outstanding performance 43 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-2 to the right of an irritated Bernabe Meder in the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celedonio Sarracino to make the kick off. The supporters of Parque Patricios FC booed when Pichincha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Elizardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernabe Meder made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Celedonio Sarracino sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Evangelista got free with Bernabe Meder in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bernabe Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gary Ronaldson in the 61st minute of play. Celedonio Sarracino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Bernabe Meder when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bernabe Meder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delmar Efren in the 67th minute. Celedonio Sarracino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Bernabe Meder made a huge save. If Armando Evangelista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute Armando Evangelista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Meder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celedonio Sarracino came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bernabe Meder could save by the left post. When Adan Balendin came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Pichincha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adan Balendin couldn't finish the play. Bernabe Meder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Evangelista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Parque Patricios FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
