Pichincha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Parkinson AFC the free kick. The supporters of Pichincha FC booed when Parkinson AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Erdiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Scirea charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Bernabe Meder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Federico Padro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adan Balendin in the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute of the match, Adrian Pacho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bernabe Meder was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Parkinson AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jacinto Guillelmus hit a great ball. The Parkinson AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Parkinson AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
