After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Gerard Puyol managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Esperanza F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gerard Puyol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niceto Txurio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jimeno Roldan fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BlackBird FC's protests and gave Jimeno Roldan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to BlackBird FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jimeno Roldan hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes, La Esperanza F.C.'s Vladimiro Innocenzio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Niceto Txurio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Esperanza F.C. reached it. In the 15th minute, La Esperanza F.C.'s Gerard Puyol dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Rolando Dantae fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BlackBird FC's protests and gave Rolando Dantae a yellow card for diving instead. If Severino Lugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Niceto Txurio made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Severino Lugo sent off a good shot on target. Vladimiro Innocenzio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Niceto Txurio. BlackBird FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dionisio Nardo's late challenge caught a BlackBird FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dionisio Nardo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, La Esperanza F.C.'s Dionisio Nardo got a free kick in the 40th minute. Severino Lugo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Niceto Txurio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of La Esperanza F.C. booed when BlackBird FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Roldan didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Severino Lugo made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute there was a penalty for La Esperanza F.C.. Lorenzo Telo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Niceto Txurio. 3-0. Niceto Txurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Lugo in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard Puyol in the 61st minute of play forced BlackBird FC's goalkeeper Niceto Txurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, BlackBird FC's Nunez Saturnin got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Severino Lugo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BlackBird FC's Niceto Txurio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nunez Saturnin hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute Gerard Puyol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Txurio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, La Esperanza F.C.'s Ramon Criston got control of the ball when Evaristo Maraman tried to sneak it across the goal line. 98 minutes into the match, BlackBird FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Puyol came free, but Niceto Txurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Esperanza F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
