Alfonso Vidal came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by US Palermo's Guido Beliran. But to his dismay, Guido Beliran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 8th minute, Martin Hug got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marciano Otsando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Darien having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Anacleto Lorencio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. US Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA the free kick. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for US Palermo! In the 18th minute, Marciano Otsando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA defense, Guido Beliran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfonso Vidal. The LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfonso Vidal should have stopped the shot. If Guido Beliran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Hug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute of the match, Guido Beliran got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfonso Vidal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Jesus Eutropio fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA's protests and gave Jesus Eutropio a yellow card for diving instead. Jesus Eutropio hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Alfonso Vidal was a little too slow when Martin Hug got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 3-1. In the 32nd match minute, LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Jobo to maneuver through the defense. If Julian Jobo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th match minute, US Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Cordeal to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind US Palermo's goalkeeper Arnaldo Darien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marciano Otsando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Beliran took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Vidal. Alfonso Vidal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Guido Beliran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Alfonso Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Hug made a kick off. Alfonso Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Abel in the 53rd minute of the match. When Marciano Otsando came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marciano Otsando couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the game, US Palermo's Martin Hug nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Vidal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. A collision led to US Palermo getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Martin Hug hit a great ball. Martin Hug charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Hug the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA booed when US Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Hug didn't get a good kick on the ball. US Palermo's Arnaldo Darien proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save US Palermo from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA's goalkeeper Alfonso Vidal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA's Jesus Eutropio got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfonso Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Hug in the 79th minute of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Martin Hug who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA's Alfonso Vidal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnaldo Darien was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marciano Otsando showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-2 in the 83 minute of play. LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA's Alfonso Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Abel in the 90th minute of play. Alfonso Vidal didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when US Palermo's Martin Hug shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The US Palermo fans cheered their team off the field, for while LUTGARDIS RIVEROS GIGENA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
