Independiente's Jesus Donio got control of the ball when Romulo Frasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jesus Donio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Matthew, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Adan Asur was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. Adan Asur kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes La Chachoneta got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Llope. Wilian Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Tiadoro having to interfere. Andres Tello hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Silvano Llope fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 23 minutes, Romulo Frasco made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. C.A. Independiente's Jesus Donio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilian Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Silvano Llope fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jesus Donio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romulo Frasco in the 29th minute of the match. Reynaldo Sidro kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Jesus Donio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Paskal in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, Wilian Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Frasco in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesus Donio saved C.A. Independiente from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Frasco in the 37th minute of play forced C.A. Independiente's goalkeeper Jesus Donio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, La Chachoneta's Silvano Llope ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jesus Donio. Jesus Donio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 43 minutes into the game, La Chachoneta's Alfredo Paskal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jesus Donio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 45th match minute, C.A. Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Fernandes to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Romulo Frasco made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Silvano Llope got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute Marcos Txurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Donio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th match minute, C.A. Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Sidro to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the game, Efrain Quirze threw the ball into play from the sideline. C.A. Independiente's Jonah Patten quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 63rd minute of the match, Wilian Ramalho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gustavo Tiadoro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Reynaldo Sidro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Efrain Quirze made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C.A. In the 74th minute, Silvano Llope made a precise shot to the right of Jesus Donio. C.A. Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Alfredo Paskal took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jesus Donio. Jesus Donio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Txurio in the 85th minute of play forced C.A. Independiente's goalkeeper Jesus Donio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Paolo Matthew managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Chachoneta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Matthew was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. La Chachoneta walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
