Benito Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Heriberto in the 22nd minute of the match. Dynamo de kyev's Braulio Mouricio got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Honorio Telo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Elorri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hernan Elorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Dynamo de kyev's Prospero Danel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Honorio Telo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Etcheverry's zone, Hernan Elorri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Telo came out of the goal and Hernan Elorri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Etcheverry's goalkeeper Honorio Telo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute Victor Heriberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Hugo Cilio put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Eztebe. In the 60th minute, Hernan Elorri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Prospero Danel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honorio Telo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Lertxun charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Atlético Etcheverry's Honorio Telo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Danel in the 65th minute of play. Andres Mouricio kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Anthony Scannura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Dynamo de kyev's Andres Mouricio got a free kick in the 69th minute. Honorio Telo came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Dynamo de kyev's Prospero Danel. But to his dismay, Prospero Danel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. A collision led to Atlético Etcheverry getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Bernardo Ubelteso hit a great ball. In the 78th match minute, Dynamo de kyev was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Osoro to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atlético Etcheverry fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 81 minutes, Dynamo de kyev's Jeronimo Pinto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Honorio Telo. After having played for 87 minutes, Braulio Mouricio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dynamo de kyev's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braulio Mouricio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Braulio Mouricio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Honorio Telo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Hugo Cilio put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Eztebe. Dynamo de kyev were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Atlético Etcheverry to leave the ground with a draw.
