The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rio Cuarto FC's Prospero Ursino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Ugaitz in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentin Tzenov in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Ortle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valentin Tzenov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ivan Ortle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artemio Ugaitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Valentin Tzenov came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Rio Cuarto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Tzenov couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Jerrald in the 34th minute of play forced Rio Cuarto FC's goalkeeper Prospero Ursino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Trilí AFC's Leopoldo Jerrald sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Prospero Ursino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Prospero Ursino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Jerrald in the 38th minute of the match. Leopoldo Jerrald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Prospero Ursino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The tension between the Trilí AFC and the Rio Cuarto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Trilí AFC's Leopoldo Jerrald got a free kick in the 57th minute. Leopoldo Jerralds short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Prospero Ursino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Ingvar Biörling came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Rio Cuarto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingvar Biörling couldn't finish the play. In the 68th match minute, Trilí AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Jerrald to maneuver through the defense. Trilí AFC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
