With an all-out effort, Parera AFC's Emanuel Maldonado threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Teobaldo Oalo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 4 minutes into the match, Paragüil's goalkeeper Emanuel Maldonado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeledon Lixandro. Zeledon Lixandro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emanuel Maldonado firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Zeledon Lixandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Edelmiro Arano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paragüil fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Oalo in the 31st minute of play forced Paragüil's goalkeeper Emanuel Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Teobaldo Oalo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Emanuel Maldonado didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Parera AFC's Zeledon Lixandro shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. With his leg Emanuel Maldonado managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Parera AFC's Zeledon Lixandro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Paragüil's Emanuel Maldonado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Paragüil from getting a goal against them. Paragüil's Emanuel Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Oalo in the 41st minute of play. If Teobaldo Oalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zeledon Lixandro got free with Emanuel Maldonado in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeledon Lixandro in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Maldonado saved Paragüil from getting behind. In the 54th minute, Teobaldo Oalo made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Maldonado. Paragüil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 60 minutes into the game, Paragüil's Hugo Shepherd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severo Berdoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 70thth minute of the game Teobaldo Oalo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paragüil's Emanuel Maldonado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute, Cornelio Intxixu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teobaldo Oalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Paragüil getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Candido Cresconio hit a great ball. Teobaldo Oalo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Maldonado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Cornelio Intxixu made a precise shot to the right of Severo Berdoi. Parera AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. After some careless play in the Paragüil defense, Zeledon Lixandro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Maldonado. The Paragüil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Maldonado should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Parera AFC booed when Paragüil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Lixandro in the 89th minute of play forced Paragüil's goalkeeper Emanuel Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Zeledon Lixandro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Maldonado was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. Parera AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
