After the first half Yatai AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Reynaldo Roland came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Bañado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Roland couldn't finish the play. Lucio Beat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Osoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Roland struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Lucio Beat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bañado. After 69 minutes, Jaime Florian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yatai AFC and the Bañado players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 played minutes Yatai AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Florian. Bañado's Melchor Rodriguez got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Yatai AFC's Uriel Lauro got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Melchor Rodriguez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucio Beat skillfully saved the ball. Benigno Mikeldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Nicolas Reyes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abelardo Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Bañado lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
