Cleto Matthew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Tabb, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Cleto Matthew came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Villanueva FC's Prospero Tabb. But to his dismay, Prospero Tabb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Mártires's Cleto Matthew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Tabb in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Villanueva FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Rodrigo Tadzio hit a great ball. Cleto Matthew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Montel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Lauaxeta made in the 44th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Villanueva FC's Cecilio Ekhi. Cecilio Ekhi struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Cleto Matthew didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villanueva FC. Mártires's Cleto Matthew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Tabb in the 47th minute of play. The Mártires players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Villanueva FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Montel was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Montel in the 51st minute of play forced Mártires's goalkeeper Cleto Matthew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cleto Matthew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Monte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Villanueva FC's Prospero Tabb dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. With an all-out effort, Villanueva FC's Cleto Matthew threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Prospero Tabb, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If David Montel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prospero Tabb received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cleto Matthew came out and tried to block the shot, but Prospero Tabb slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 66th minute. Cleto Matthew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Tabb in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Tabb in the 73rd minute of play forced Mártires's goalkeeper Cleto Matthew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Hector Laurentzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute, Jeronimo Mergildo made a precise shot to the right of Cleto Matthew. Mártires's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Cleto Matthew made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when David Montel sent off a good shot on target. Cleto Matthew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Monte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 91 in the game by David Montel from a close distance when the talented Cleto Matthew managed to make a qualified save. Mártires's players were relieved. In the 93rd minute Justo Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Matthew saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cleto Matthew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Ibon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Mártires fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Villanueva FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
