Rosendo Clis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Igor Elija tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blas Blanco in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Sabin saved sporting de Punta from getting behind. rojo corazon's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Rosendo Clis scored to the left of an out of position Igor Elija, making the score, 1-1. After having played for 48 minutes, Pablo Rocendo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. rojo corazon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo Rocendo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Igor Elija showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Clis, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 79thth minute of the game Pablo Rocendo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but sporting de Punta's Felix Sabin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Blas Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the rojo corazon defense, Albano Viator kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Igor Elija. The rojo corazon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Elija should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Rocendo got free with Felix Sabin in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the rojo corazon players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for sporting de Punta.
