Cabinda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filomeno Tabb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filomeno Tabb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Froila having to interfere. Jaime Gonsalve made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teo Cordeara in the 75th minute. When Arsenio Paublo fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olavarría's protests and gave Arsenio Paublo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cabinda booed when Olavarría was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Paublo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cabinda's Filomeno Tabb got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
