Gaston Hibai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Christian Raebert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Urdaspal in the 6th minute of play forced El Fortin's goalkeeper Florencio Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Hibai got free with Christian Raebert in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 15 played minutes Paraná FC got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Abalos. Faustino Ferman's late challenge caught a El Fortin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustino Ferman helped the player get up and apologised. If Rogelio Abechuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florencio Carlomagno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustino Ferman went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Florencio Carlomagno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Ferman, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes El Fortin got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Osoitz. Florencio Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Ferman in the 37th minute of play. Faustino Ferman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Florencio Carlomagno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonzalo Urdaspal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florencio Carlomagno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Ferman in the 42nd minute of the match. Gonzalo Urdaspal scored 0-4 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florencio Carlomagno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Florencio Carlomagno made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Gonzalo Urdaspal sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Paraná FC's Florencio Carlomagno threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Faustino Ferman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Florencio Carlomagno was a little too slow when Faustino Ferman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-5. Florencio Carlomagno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Ferman in the 59th minute of the match. Gaston Hibai struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Christian Raebert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Fortin. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Naelio during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paraná FC! In the 74th minute there was a penalty for El Fortin. Gaston Hibai stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Christian Raebert. 1-6. Faustino Ferman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. In the 82nd minute of the match, Faustino Ferman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Florencio Carlomagno saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 85 minutes into the match, El Fortin's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Ferman came free, but Florencio Carlomagno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gaston Hibai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Raebert was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Florencio Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Erdiano in the 92nd minute of play. Faustino Ferman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Carlomagno having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Ferman in the 95th minute of play forced El Fortin's goalkeeper Florencio Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejandro Osoitz hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Paraná FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
