But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Urdaspal couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonzalo Urdaspal in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Montay saved Socoscora FC from getting behind. 19 minutes into the game, Paraná FC's Faustino Ferman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo Montay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 24thth minute of the game Faustino Ferman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Socoscora FC's Raimundo Montay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th match minute, Paraná FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Urdaspal to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Candido Erdiano made a precise shot to the right of Raimundo Montay. Socoscora FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 52nd minute Santiago Montxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Raebert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Socoscora FC's Raimundo Montay got control of the ball when Gonzalo Urdaspal tried to sneak it across the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Urdaspal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Raimundo Montay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonzalo Urdaspal got free with Raimundo Montay in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Faustino Ferman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimundo Montay was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Christian Raebert was left in no man's land by his defense there!
