Spectators: 7187 (Terracing: 5392, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 142) Cirilo Osmundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Arias in the 8th minute of play. With his leg Cirilo Osmundo managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when La Veintidós's Ruperto Lope fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Higinio Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Osmundo having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Arias came free, but Cirilo Osmundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ruperto Lope came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the La Veintidós fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruperto Lope couldn't finish the play. La Veintidós's Santiago Senin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Hustaz in the 28th minute of play. Guillermo Pelagius kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Palermo's Fermin Berenguer tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, La Veintidós's Higinio Arias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cirilo Osmundo. Cirilo Osmundo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, Higinio Arias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cirilo Osmundo, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Arias in the 43rd minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Cirilo Osmundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Raí Trevisan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cirilo Osmundo was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Benicio Chuse hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruperto Lope was the one to do the kick off. La Veintidós's Herminio Lobo pulled a muscle in his leg after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 58 minutes, Feliberto Celino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo and the La Veintidós players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Celino. Ruperto Lope received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cirilo Osmundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cirilo Osmundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Lope, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Anastasio Montrel fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo's protests and gave Anastasio Montrel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Anastasio Montrel hit a great ball. Higinio Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Cirilo Osmundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cirilo Osmundo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruperto Lope's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. In the 81st minute, Manuel Lizardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ruperto Lope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Barto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cirilo Osmundo. Palermo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ruperto Lope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cirilo Osmundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that La Veintidós were the better team. La Veintidós's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
