In the 69th minute of the match, Fitz Ferdinand got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nunez Alfonso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Aritza got free with Nunez Alfonso in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nunez Alfonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fitz Ferdinand in the 77th minute of the match. When Claudio Rumaldo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the El Lauty Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Rumaldo couldn't finish the play. El Lauty Club's Nunez Alfonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Barbosa in the 97th minute of play. Nunez Alfonso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eustaquio Aritza went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
