Nunez Alfonso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Figueiredo in the 5th minute. Christian Smitt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio Rumaldo went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Tomas Enetz sped through Atila F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christian Smitt. Rolando Vasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Atila F.C's attentive Omar Aznar managed to snatch the ball when Amancio Corderun made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. In the 37th minute Tomas Enetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Smitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Claudio Rumaldo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Christian Smitt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Claudio Rumaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Atila F.C's zone, Claudio Rumaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Smitt came out of the goal and Claudio Rumaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the match, Elpidio Rubio notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of El Lauty Club's Nunez Alfonso. Nunez Alfonso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elpidio Rubio made a kick off. Nunez Alfonso came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Atila F.C's Angelo Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Angelo Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 65th minute, Angelo Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Nunez Alfonso. El Lauty Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. 70 minutes into the game, Atila F.C's Elpidio Rubio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nunez Alfonso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Claudio Rumaldo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christian Smitt came out and tried to block the shot, but Claudio Rumaldo slotted it home off the left post making it 4-4 in the 73rd minute. 77 minutes into the match, Angelo Figueiredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nunez Alfonso. El Lauty Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Figueiredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Figueiredo in the 81st minute of play forced El Lauty Club's goalkeeper Nunez Alfonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atila F.C's Christian Smitt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Atila F.C from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the El Lauty Club defense, Angelo Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nunez Alfonso. The El Lauty Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nunez Alfonso should have stopped the shot. Omar Aznar kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. El Lauty Club's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Atila F.C had won, even though El Lauty Club had held more of the ball.
