Primitivo Quexal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laureano Dalmai during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Delmar Afonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Augusto Papo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Selmo in the 34th minute of play forced las toninas's goalkeeper Augusto Papo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The las toninas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Colon de San Justo were winning 0-1.

The referee ignored las toninas's protests and gave Arnoldo Iyan a yellow card for diving instead.
