Cristo Hats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Bertol in the 20th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 54th match minute, Sonata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Garaile to maneuver through the defense. Vilela's Gaudencio Piarres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Jan Pluijm in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vilela's zone, Dirk Jan Pluijm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Piarres came out of the goal and Dirk Jan Pluijm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulises Frisco during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th minute of the match Erubiel Gonzales sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaudencio Piarres skillfully saved the ball. Daniel Abaurre hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Cristo Hats made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Daniel Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
