Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Maximiliano Gonzo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Anastasio Odon. Anastasio Odon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Galdamez, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Galdamez in the 18th minute of play forced Tilisarao's goalkeeper Anastasio Odon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Argentinos Juniors's zone, Clodoveo Darien stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Pinheiro came out of the goal and Clodoveo Darien tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Placido Paio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Rodrigo Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Pietro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, one of Tilisarao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tilisarao. In the 32nd minute, Dan Orupõld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anastasio Odon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Clodoveo Darien struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Rodrigo Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tilisarao. 41 minutes into the game, Joel Galdamez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Anastasio Odon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Galdamez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Anastasio Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Godfredo Sasoin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Godfredo Sasoin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Joel Galdamez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Odon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Vela's late challenge caught a Tilisarao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Vela helped the player get up and apologised. Maximo Guillelme charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Tilisarao's Godfredo Sasoin got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Augusto Vela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Argentinos Juniors were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Tilisarao's much stronger midfield.
