With an all-out effort, Gap FC's Carman Rafferty threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jeremias Quadros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Quadros in the 20th minute of play forced EL TIFON DE BOYACA's goalkeeper Carman Rafferty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Victorino Libertad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carman Rafferty was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. If Jeremias Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Alario might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carman Rafferty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucas Alario ran back to his position shaking his head. Lucas Alario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Carman Rafferty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Jeremias Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremias Quadros made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Gap FC got a freekick which was hit by Dante Satordi. A collision led to EL TIFON DE BOYACA getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ricardo Estebe hit a great ball. After 57 played minutes Gap FC got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Furman. 60 minutes into the match, Siro Osmundo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of EL TIFON DE BOYACA's Carman Rafferty. Carman Rafferty was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jeremias Quadros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carman Rafferty having to make a save. Gualterio Furman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carman Rafferty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Alario in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Jeremias Quadros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carman Rafferty. EL TIFON DE BOYACA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeremias Quadros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Remigio Abajas kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Rodrigo Rioja charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Rioja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gualterio Furman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carman Rafferty having to interfere. Gualterio Furman hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Jeremias Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Carman Rafferty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jeremias Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th match minute, EL TIFON DE BOYACA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Tome to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, EL TIFON DE BOYACA's Remigio Abajas got a free kick in the 90th minute. Jeremias Quadros took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carman Rafferty. Carman Rafferty dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After a rather tough play, EL TIFON DE BOYACA's Cristobal Tome got a free kick in the 95th minute. Rodrigo Rioja kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
