Esteve Txartiko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After having played for 16 minutes, Vladimiro Papo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Papo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute Elias Wulf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Txartiko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match, Roberto Nuxila got a very nice opportunity to score, but Esteve Txartiko was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 41 played minutes Antaje got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Inge. Esteve Txartiko made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Roberto Nuxila sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

59 minutes into the match, Antaje's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Wulf came free, but Esteve Txartiko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvio Danel made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Silvio Ramirez sent off a good shot on target. San Lorenzo's Silvio Danel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Inge in the 63rd minute of play. After 65 minutes, Alejandro Lauren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Antaje and the San Lorenzo players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Esteban Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ramon Medina Bello came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the San Lorenzo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Medina Bello couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Donato in the 77th minute of play forced Antaje's goalkeeper Esteve Txartiko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimiro Papo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ramon Medina Bello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteve Txartiko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Edgardo Galoer had to leave the field with a concussion. When Paulino Bertin fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
