The Benfica FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melquiades Egun should have stopped the shot. Mané Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacy Zembrzuski having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Benfica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sture Johansson came free, but Melquiades Egun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Astor Elizardo in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Benfica FC's 孔南杰. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Sture Johansson made the kick off in the second half. Melquiades Egun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sture Johansson in the 54th minute of play. After 56 played minutes Benfica FC got a freekick which was hit by Mané Paranaense. 60 minutes into the game, Laureano Pagomari was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Benfica FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Real Madrid the free kick. The supporters of FC Real Madrid booed when Benfica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Pagomari didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st match minute, Benfica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Pelagius to maneuver through the defense. After 65 played minutes Benfica FC got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Kaxen. A collision led to Benfica FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. 孔南杰 hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Gilberto Baladi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Denis Iban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Amílton Urbano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignacy Zembrzuski was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Melquiades Egun made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Denis Iban sent off a good shot on target. Aureo Hidalgo made a great header on FC Real Madrid's corner, it was just that Benfica FC's Melquiades Egun managed to reach the ball for a save. Sture Johansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Egun having to interfere. The FC Real Madrid players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Benfica FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
