Melquiades Egun was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Evelio Argenis. Gilberto Baladi hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Melquiades Egun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Erruki in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Club El Loco Bielsa's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton Urbano came free, but Esteban Jusepe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimeno Erruki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Egun having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jimeno Erruki was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Benfica FC's zone, Gaudencio Rafel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Egun came out of the goal and Gaudencio Rafel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melquiades Egun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Erruki in the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Benfica FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Silvestre Pelagius hit a great ball. Melquiades Egun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Erruki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benfica FC's Amílton Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Silvestre Pelagius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melquiades Egun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Erruki in the 70th minute of play. When Gaudencio Rafel came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Club El Loco Bielsa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaudencio Rafel couldn't finish the play. Melquiades Egun went to the wrong direction when Israel Abechuco was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to Benfica FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. 孔南杰 hit a great ball. Gaudencio Rafel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Egun having to interfere.
