After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Froilan Kiliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgrano's supporters rose to their feet, but Froilan Kiliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edelmiro Ponce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Belgrano's Mario Amato got a free kick in the 5th minute. If Cipriano Thomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Urquiza FC's Esteve Tauro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Tauro in the 17th minute of play forced Belgrano's goalkeeper Benigno Hermo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edelmiro Ponce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Papo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Tauro came free, but Benigno Hermo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edelmiro Ponce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bonifacio Papo went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Urquiza FC's Edelmiro Ponce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Estefan in the 31st minute of play. When Cipriano Thomas came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Belgrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Thomas couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Belgrano getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Evaristo Astigar hit a great ball. The supporters of Urquiza FC booed when Belgrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Thomas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bonifacio Papo to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Bonifacio Papo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edelmiro Ponce, passed just outside the right post. After 56th play minutes Bonifacio Papo shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Edelmiro Ponce and just under the crossbar into goal. Froilan Euloxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Benigno Hermo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benigno Hermo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Loren, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Cipriano Thomas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belgrano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Urquiza FC the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Belgrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Thomas to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Chan, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Loren in the 77th minute of play forced Belgrano's goalkeeper Benigno Hermo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Estefan was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Belgrano's Emilio Estefan got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Daniel Chan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benigno Hermo. Belgrano's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Benigno Hermo came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Urquiza FC's Esteve Tauro. But to his dismay, Esteve Tauro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After having played for 92 minutes, Froilan Kiliz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgrano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Froilan Kiliz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes in the game, Froilan Kiliz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Edelmiro Ponce having to interfere.
