In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Pumas Corrientes. Ferdinand Nordstrøm stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Laureano Emeterio. 3-0. Laureano Emeterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Belasko, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Siro Madaleno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Emeterio having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pumas Corrientes fully deserved thier win.
