After a rather tough play, Cienaguita's Modesto Colon got a free kick in the 57th minute. When Wilfredo Platon came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Cienaguita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Platon couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd match minute, Cienaguita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Colon to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Modesto Colon got free with Domingos Gau in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Many of Cienaguita's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Cienaguita may have spent more time on the ball, but Obraje were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
